Lent 2017

Lent meditation: #theLiturgists
Lent practice: #rethinkchurch
Lent soundtrack: #paulmccartney

This morning, as I walked up to the cafe for breakfast, I heard a Paul McCartney song that I had not heard for a long time–and it wasn’t just for my ears–it was open and free as it played on the radio. I was giddy and alive.

๐Ÿ’šGo through the day and night and hear that God is your fan, he’s singing your song.๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŽถBaby, I’m amazed at the way you love me all the time,

And maybe I’m afraid of the way I love you.๐ŸŽถ

๐Ÿ’š5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,

    your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;

    none can compare with you.๐Ÿ’š

Psalm 40:5

๐ŸŽถMaybe I’m amazed at the way you pulled me out of time,

You hung me on the line.

Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you.๐ŸŽถ

๐Ÿ’šWondrous.๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŽถBaby, I’m a man, maybe I’m a lonely man

Who’s in the middle of something

That he doesn’t really understand.๐ŸŽถ

๐Ÿ’šWere I to proclaim and tell of them,

they would be more than can be counted.๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŽถMaybe I’m amazed at the way you’re with me all the time,

Maybe I’m afraid of the way I leave you.๐ŸŽถ

๐ŸŽถMaybe I’m amazed at the way you help me sing my song,

Right me when I’m wrong-

Maybe I’m amazed at the way I really need you.๐ŸŽถ
